Doogee BL12000: Powerful Smartphone With a Particularly Capacious Battery

Looking for a smartphone with maximum autonomy? Then we recommend you to wait until the Doogee BL12000 releases. Boasted with an incredible battery capacity of 12,000 mAh, this smartphone is a very productive gadget.

Until now, one single company produced such solutions. It’s the Chinese Oukitel. Models of the K10000 series, which are equipped with batteries for 10 000 mAh, belongs to them. However, they have been repeatedly criticized for weak “hardware” and generally mediocre technical characteristics.

By designing BL12000, Doogee specialists has achieved dual-purposes. Firstly, it presents itself as a strong opponent against other brands in terms of the duration of functionality with onetime charge. Secondly, the manufacturers have equipped the smartphone with a lot of advanced “features”:

• Eight-core mobile processor MediaTek Helio P23 (MT6757M) with a clock frequency of 2.3 GHz.

• As much as 6 Gb of high-speed RAM LPDDR4x.

• Built-in flash drive capacity of 64 Gb with the ability to expand by installing a microSD memory card.

Doogee BL12000 has a 5.5 inches diagonal display with a resolution of FullHD 1080 × 1920 pixels, the type of matrix is IPS. On the “pilot” renderings published in the network, there are no frames on either side of the display. There is neither touch nor mechanical control buttons below it.

For photography, a dual main camera is included with a pair of sensors. The resolution is 13 Mp (at the output, due to interpolation, all image is 16 Mp). “Frontal” is 8-megapixel and is expected to be equipped with its own soft flash for “Selfie”.

What’s more, the Doogee BL12000 supports 4G LTE Category 6/7/13 networks, which guarantees a download speed of up to 300 Mbps and transmission up to 150 Mbps if the mobile operator has the appropriate equipment. There are two SIM slots for the smartphone.

According to the renderings, the fingerprint scanner at BL12000 is located on the back of the case under the main camera, the lenses are located vertically. The guaranteed response time is 0.1 s, fingerprint recognition is possible from any angle.

Let’s discuss more about its autonomy – the Doogee BL12000 works for at least three days without charging. The bonus will be PowerBank mode, which can be used to recharge other devices. Certainly, you don’t need to worry about its charging time, because it will charge the device comparatively faster.

It goes without saying that if the Doogee novelty owns a more powerful hardware than the same Oukitel K10000 Max, even then its autonomy will be about the same. The additional 2000 mAh would be a plus though. So, in this case, we are quite optimistic.

The fact is that Helio P23 (MT6757M) belongs to a new generation of MediaTek chipsets. It is manufactured on a thinner 16-nanometer process technology and has support for advanced power-saving technologies like MediaTek CorePilot 4.0 and EnergySmart Screen.

The only drawback of BL12000, perhaps, will be its size and weight. With such a solid battery, this new model clearly represents a very large and weighty “brick”. Of course, not everyone’s going to like it. Also, angular design and a glossy surface raise questions.

Release Date

The exact timing of the announcement of the smartphone has not yet been declared. Experts expect that the presentation of the Doogee BL12000 will take place in October or November 2017. It will appear on sale, no later than the first of December in order to meet the demand before the winter holidays to the maximum.
