The range of gaming laptops from ASUSTeK Computer has been enlarged with the ROG Chimera G703 model, which made its debut during the IFA 2017. The laptop is notable for its high-performance “stuffing” and is equipped with a 17.3-inch IPS-screen with a resolution of 3840×2160 or 1920×1080 pixels. In the latter case there is support for Nvidia G-Sync synchronization technology, and the maximum refresh rate of the display is 144 Hz with a response time of 7 ms (from gray to gray).

Under the hood of the ASUS ROG Chimera G703 is a quad-core Intel Core i7-7700HQ (2.8 / 3.8 GHz) or Core i7-7820HK (2.9 / 3.9 GHz), up to 64 GB of RAM SO-DIMM DDR4 and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 graphics adapter. For storage of user data, there are two NVMe-drives with capacity up to 512 GB, united in a RAID 0 array, and a hard disk with a capacity of up to 2 TB. The thickness of the notebook’s case reaches 51 mm, and its weight is 4.8 kg.

The laptop also includes a battery with a capacity of 74 Wh, a wireless adapter Wi-Fi 802.11ac, a keyboard with LED RGB-backlight Aura Sync and a dedicated DAC ESS Saber. Among the connectors on the edges of the device should note the presence of USB 3.1 Type-C / Thunderbolt3, SDXC card reader, HDMI video outputs and mini DisplayPort. To power the device uses an external adapter with a power of 330 watts.

The gaming laptop ASUS ROG Chimera G703 has already started to be supplied to the retail partners of the manufacturer, the estimated cost of the novelty is $3500.
