On the eve of Lenovo announced the expansion of its workstation model range: the world was presented desktop ThinkStation P520 and ThinkStation P520C, as well as mobile ThinkPad 52s. The flagship model ThinkStation P520 is aimed at professionals working with 3D animation and visual effects, the ThinkStation P520C has more balanced performance and price points, and the ThinkPad 52s, despite its compact size, is able to cope with most professional tasks.
The Lenovo ThinkStation P520 workstation is equipped with a processor from the Intel Xeon W server series (from 4-core Xeon W-2123 to 18-core Xeon W-2195) and one or two Nvidia Quadro P6000 video cards (3840 CUDA cores, 384-bit bus, 24 GB of GDDR5X memory). Eight slots are provided for the installation of DDR4-2666 memory modules, and its maximum capacity is 256 GB. The total number of drives can reach eight pieces: six 2.5- or 3.5-inch and a pair in the M.2 format. It is possible to organize disk arrays RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10, including from NVMe-drives using Intel VROC technology . The case has mountings for installation in a server rack.

There are four USB 3.1 ports, two USB 2.0, one Thunderbolt 3 (Type-C), two PS / 2, RJ interface on the back and front panel -45, audio connectors, eSATA and Firewire.
The Lenovo ThinkStation P520C supports the same Xeon W processors, but the number of DRAM slots is reduced to four, and the maximum capacity is up to 128 GB. The video accelerator is Nvidia Quadro P5000 (2560 cores CUDA, 256-bit bus and 16 GB GDDR5X memory). The number of disks is reduced to six: four 2.5 / 3.5 inches and two M.2.
The mobile workstation ThinkPad P52s (slim) is the successor to the ThinkPad P51s , released earlier this year. Her weight is about 2 kg, and the thickness does not exceed 20 mm. The laptop is equipped with an energy-efficient Intel processor from Kaby Lake-R architecture (from Core i5-8250U to Core i7-8650U), Nvidia Quadro P500 adapter (384 CUDA cores, 64-bit bus, 2 GB of GDDR5 memory), and the maximum amount of DDR4- 2400 is 32 GB.
Supports the installation of a single hard disk with a capacity of up to 2 TB and one solid-state drive with a capacity of up to 1 TB. The novelty is equipped with a 15.6-inch IPS-display with a resolution of 1920×1080 or 3840×2160 pixels. Full HD-version is optionally equipped with a touchscreen. The capacity of the removable battery is from 24 to 72 Wh. In addition to the wireless adapter Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 there is a module 4G LTE – Sierra EM7564 or Fibocom L831-EAU.
