Review Motherboard Asus Crosshair VI Hero: Connect all
There are a lot of motherboards for Ryzen processors. We carefully considered the Asus Crosshair VI Hero and upon estimating the equipment, we give this model 92 percentage out of 100 points. The reason for this was a proficient execution of PCIe slots, 8 (+ 2 internal) USB-3 interfaces and 4 slots for installing DDR4 memory and up to 3200+ MHz. Considering all these, we come to the conclusion that this motherboard is more suitable for users from the category of so-called “enthusiasts”.

The motherboard is one of the most important components of a personal computer, since it is responsible for ensuring flawlessly functionality of all the equipment connected to the system. In the center of the board, there is a socket – Socket AM4 for the processor.
Processors, belonging to the generation Ryzen, made by AMD is installed in it. As for RAM, you will have to install the DDR4 standard, because the previous DDR3 is no longer supported. AMD’s proprietary chips have an integrated graphics subsystem, however, the APU on the Ryzen architecture has not even been announced yet. We expect their coming in the next year. So, let’s get prepared in advance and determine which connectors will be useful, and which ones won’t.
On the rear panel, you will find the following ports: 4 x USB 2.0, 8 USB 3.1 Gen1, 2 USB 3.1 Gen 2 (one Type-A, 1 Type-C), LAN port, S / PDIF optical output, 1 M. 2 Wi-Fi. To install hard disks and SSDs, the following interfaces are available: 8 x SATA3 6.0 Gb/s with support for RAID functions and 1 M2 connector (Socket 3). The integrated network chip has a capacity of 1000 Mbit/s, and the company is made up of a built-in audio chip Realtek ALC1220 with Purity Sound 4. If you need more information about equipping this model, we recommend looking in the specifications below.
How Chip Evaluates AMD Motherboards
Motherboards are the spine of any computer. They are the center of union of all interfaces of the connected components in each PC. However, most models are very different from their competitors in only one item: equipment. Hence, we estimate the motherboards of Intel and AMD processors in terms of their equipment, and expose the rating from 0 to 100 percentage points. This evaluation covers the whole spectrum of relevant “components” of the board and places it in our corresponding rating.
In our tables you can get visual information about what the tested model is capable of offering to the buyer. More precisely, it reveals the number of different slots, the availability of auxiliary controllers and microchips, and interfaces on the rear panel. In addition, after studying the design of the board, we evaluate significant errors in the design and layout of components.
For example, if the elements of the cooling system interfere with the installation of a large graphics card, or if the slots for RAM are too close to the processor and prevent the use of a large fan, a negative effect will be reflected on the final position in the rating. Besides, it helps you quickly understand whether the motherboard is worthy of the price tagged on it, thanks to the evaluation of the ratio of price and quality.
