Review Smartphone Xiaomi Redmi 6
The release of the Xiaomi Redmi 6 is only taking place in the fall of 2018. This is another popular budget line in the Chinese market. This is an updated version of the previous Xiaomi Redmi Smartphone.
Firstly, in 2017 we did not see any serious progress in the fifth generation of Redmi. For example, the cheapest Redmi 5A actually does not differ from the Redmi 4A except for a modified design:
- The same mobile processor is used the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 (MSM8917)
- The same 2GB memory and 16/32GB of internal memory
- Similar 5-inch screen with HD Ready 720 × 1280 resolution
All that the manufacturer did was to use the older phone components and add a fingerprint scanner. Further, they added support for Wi-Fi 5.0 GHz networks. What the supplier has done is force you to buy a new identical model updated with minor changes.
Secondly, it is not yet clear how the frameless screen with a ratio of 9 to 18 and close to that is going to be received by new users. You can see the likeliness to the Samsung Galaxy S8 in the Celestial Empire to compare with the Redmi A6.
There are two models available for you to buy the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro. However, the Redmi 6 is a cheaper option with a classic display while the Pro offers you a 720 x 1280 HD display. On the other hand, you need to note that phones with a display of 9-18 are only a fashion trend.
As the phone market became stagnant manufacturers introduced a new chip to attract new buyers.
From a practical point of view, especially when there are control buttons at the bottom of the screen, the “frameless” design does not offer anything. The only difference it might make is when you watch movies or play games as it offers a more available space.
Thirdly, Xiaomi threatens to move gradually to processors of its own design. The future series of Xiaomi Redmi 6 does not offer you great performance. They are offering you a stand-alone Smartphone in a middle price range.
