Review: Ulefone Armor 2- Spec, Price and Discount
Ulefone Armor 2 smartphone
There are few phones that can protect themselves from all external influences. Very often, users can notice any scratches or broken glasses, which later pours out a lot of money for repairs. Some companies have approached this issue simply by strengthening the smartphone from all sides. And for today it is difficult to find a similar device with good hardware. Brand Ulefon introduced its second “secure” smartphone.
After not quite successful Ulefone Armor, the company still decided on the continuation of the line, and probably did not fail. The device is not just some ordinary smartphone with a protected case, but it has quite good characteristics and a huge number of interesting features. Which will be discussed later.
Ulefon Armor 2 appearance
The smartphone looks rather menacing: its dimensions are huge – 78.3х159х14.5 mm. This is just so you can not put it in your pocket, and it weighs as much as 270 grams. The body of this “machine” can not be made of ordinary plastic. Almost the entire surface is occupied by metal with polycarbonate inserts at the corners. There are many different buttons that are not standard. In addition to the usual rocker buttons for volume, shutdown and “home” buttons, there are three more buttons. One of them adjusts the shutter of the main camera. The phone must be protected from all sides! The next one has a shortcut function, that is, you pre-set a certain user for the call and this wonderful button will play the call when long it is jammed. The latter is called PTT, that is, “Press to talk”.
Its purpose is akin to a standard walkie-talkie – you say it when you press it. Of the disadvantages – the lack of a 3.5mm connector, which is usually used for headphones. The only USB Type-C port is located at the bottom of the phone and is perfectly protected by a rubber insert. The manufacturer said about the protection of ip86. The first digit means the rating of security against foreign objects, including from falling or dust, and the second from water. It was also stated about the stable operation of the smartphone in the temperature range from -40 to +80 degrees Celsius. A very bold statement, even if we take into account that the manufacturer used a lithium-ion battery instead of a lithium-ion battery whose operating temperature range is wider. As for the coloring, the phone appeared on the shelves in two: gold and gray.
