VKworld T2 Plus: Unusual Flip phone with Android 7 Nougat

This fall, fans of the classics will be able to purchase clamshell VKworld T2 Plus. It’s an unusual gadget while compared with the present time smartphone. How? It has got two screens, it supports 4G LTE networks and has pre-installed Android 7.0 Nougat. Also, the novelty will please its potential buyers with an affordable price tag and international localization.

Nevertheless, everyone can buy the device from the Chinese online store GearBest. Delivery is free, of course.

The only competitor of VKworld T2 Plus are Samsung’s “Flipphone”: Galaxy Folder 2 and the flagship SM-G9298. However, if the former has very mediocre technical characteristics and design at a high price, then the latter one costs absolutely sky-high money.

And what’s inside?

VKworld T2 Plus is based on 64-bit MediaTek MT6737, which includes a quad-core CPU with a clock speed of 1.3 GHz, graphics accelerator ARM Mali-T720 and a memory controller LPDDR3.

The capacity of the built-in drive is 16 Gb, and the possibility of installing a microSD memory card of 64 Gb in a hybrid tray is also available (that could either an expansion of the data store or a second SIM card). In general, it is balanced for a Chinese budget smartphone set.

One of the key features of VKworld T2 Plus is the availability of two screens simultaneously – external and internal. They have identical features: a diagonal of 4.2 inches, an IPS matrix type, a rather unusual resolution of HD + 1280×768 pixels and a shockproof glass without a fashionable 2.D-effect.

When folded, the T2 Plus looks like a normal, but fairly thick monoblock, with three touch-sensitive control buttons under the screen. In the unfolded “clamshell” mode, you can call, dial numbers and even texts with the help of T9, using a hardware keyboard.

Like any other mobile games, the VKworld T2 Plus also allows you to take benefit of the built-in joystick. But the condition is, the application should be “on the teeth” filling the smartphone. Android system control buttons are also transferred to the keyboard, so that you can take the advantage of the small screen clamshell to the fullest.

At 4PDA, it is written that the novelty of VKworld has a main camera with a resolution of 13 Mp and you’re also going to get a 5 Mp front camera. But the camera is not satisfyingly clear. However, the first model – Sony IMX149 had a sensor, the module of which was 8 megapixels. Thus, there is a notorious possibility of outburst from 8 Mp to 13 Mp.

As it was revealed above, the device has a removable 2500 mAh battery which has the possibility of fast charging using MediaTek PumpExpress 2.0 technology. Although the largest capacity is missing, the manufacturer guarantees 8-10 hours of talk time and up to 70 hours of backup time.

• Quite an “iron” for this money.

• No fingerprint scanner.

• Thick body.
